Since its foundation in 1938 the logo of the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (IBFD) has been the hallmark for high quality international tax information and education, and independent tax research. The wealth of the IBFD’s experience and knowledge is reflected in its staff which counts over 50 tax research specialists and teachers from around 25 different countries. IBFD has grown from a tax documentation centre into a modern, up to date online research organization. It caters both for the public and the private sector. It fulfills the information needs of tax practitioners, consultancy firms, multinational enterprises, international organizations, tax administrations and universities in over 150 countries. Significantly IBFD operates on a not-for-profit basis and is completely independent. This is reflected in the objective and unbiased approach of our products and services. IBFD’s activities are divided into publishing (online and on paper), consulting and training on the one hand and research and purely academic activities on the other, such as publishing a doctoral series, supporting tax programmes in 15 universities and maintaining a first class international tax library. It has offices in Amsterdam, New York and Kuala Lumpur.
